Currently working as a sound designer on Hyper Light Breaker, the successor to Hyper Light Drifter.
Unlike the previous game in the series, Breaker is a 3D roguelite using Unreal Engine and Wwise.
We're hard at work creating something that feels like it belongs in the same universe as Hyper Light Drifter while bringing the sound design into a new era.

OUTER WILDS: ECHOES OF THE EYE

Building this DLC's soundscape based off of the Outer Wilds game, all while pushing the audio forward in a new direction was one of my favorite sound design challenges to date.
Echoes of the Eye adds in a new, darker tone that wasn't explored in the original Outer Wilds, and the audio was built to reflect that while still sounding like it belongs in the larger universe of the game.

Working with the team throughout the entire process allowed me to iterate and perfect the sounds for this game. I created custom recording devices, like my stethoscope record, along with an anime sound design pipeline.
At the Game Developer's Conference it was nominated for 5 awards, including excellence in audio. And was the #1 selling game on Steam globally upon its release.

An exciting challenge for this game was to create organic sounds for the monsters with inflections that would convey human speech.
Concrete Genie won Best Family Game at Gamescom and was nominated for Most Original Game, Best PS4 Game, Best Action Adventure Game.

I mixed original sound design for this game, creating custom effects to immerse the player, including the use of an electric Kazoo that was transformed into a guttural throng of a war engine.

Conveying the sound of danger for this serene, yet violent, Space Opera meant staying away from the overused sounds of stereotypical sci-fi.
The gritty realism lent itself to Heat Signature becoming the #1 best-seller on Steam upon its release.

In order to create the most tactile sounds for this game, centered around a young girl's diary, I recorded myself writing on different weights of paper with a variety of writing implements. Allowing you to feel the flourish of every sound.

The grinding of gears and hissing of steam were intrical elements in this Steam Punk card game. In order to create the perfect sound, I record winding watches and various kitchen appliances to help immerse the player.

Drawing from the specific sound of the16-bit era, I built custom synthesizers to create the familiar twang associated with classic Sega Genesis games.
